Based after our other successful programs we add adventure and opportunity to help the teen grow and appreciate the life they enjoy. Providing guidance to troubled teens, establishing self-esteem, respect for authority, and family religious values. The student progresses through a point and reward system similar to the old military schools or boot camps. Modernized in a high school campus and dormitory setting with 7 by 24 care and supervision. Separate programs for both girls and boys both attend the state approved high school on site. Giving the teen a full and exciting high school experience. Our school grounds will provide a proper learning environment and with the group and individual therapy the student will redirect teen problems into adult responsiblity. For parents of the Northern California areas here is a program close enough for visits as the teen earns his or her way back with trust into your heart. Sky View Academy is a private Christian boarding school that uses a specialized academic curriculum to assist students who do not do well in the traditional classroom setting. In addition to this special curriculum, SVA also provides a structured, consistent, supervised, wholesome environment that is critical to most students’ academic progress and success. The academic curriculum is an individualized and competency based system stressing the core subjects of math, science, English, and history along with appropriate electives. Students must demonstrate mastery before moving forward in their classes. The structured environment and staff at SVA provides the ongoing support necessary for students to focus and benefit from this specialized academic curriculum. As an added bonus, SVA provides ongoing seminars to assist students in their personal and emotional growth. On Sundays, the students participate in a nondenominational worship service to provide the opportunity for spiritual growth. Students and staff at SVA work to develop a value system through faith in Christ, while developing knowledge, individual worth, service, integrity, and honesty. Our main rule for both staff and students is to treat each other with dignity and respect. Students at SVA have a beautiful campus to enjoy, which includes a running/walking track, workout stations, play field, basketball, volleyball, and tetherball courts, gazebos, and picnic tables. The atmosphere at Sky View is peaceful and serene with beautiful views of Mt. Grant and Walker Lake. It is a place where teens may stop, reflect on their lives, and develop healthy friendships with their peers.
