Just over the California border near Bakersfield California and Death Valley. Horizon Academy is one our newest additions and filling fast. Now troubled teens from the southern California areas can be treated close to home. Horizon Academy is located in the south eastern desert of Nevada, surrounded by beautiful mountains, sand dunes and expansive stretches of untouched arid land. Southern Nevada is rich in old west history, and the small town atmosphere surrounding Horizon Academy provides a friendly, family-oriented environment.
Based after our other successful programs we add adventure, peaceful isolation, and opportunity to help the teen grow and appreciate the life they enjoy. Providing guidance to troubled teens, establishing self-esteem, respect for authority, and family religious values. The student progresses through a point and reward system similar to the old military schools or boot camps. Modernized in a high school campus and dormitory setting with 7 by 24 care and supervision. Separate programs for both girls and boys both attend the state approved high school on site. Giving the teen a full and exciting high school experience. Our school grounds will provide a proper learning environment and with the group and individual therapy the student will redirect teen problems into adult responsiblity.
